In May 2026 I directed a documentary on Anjolie Ela Menon, one of India’s most significant contemporary painters. These are photographs I made on the shoot days: behind the scenes of the shoot, Menon in and around her studio, the particular atmosphere of a working session with someone who has been making paintings for six decades.
